About Mystwood Alchemy
|
|
For those who have always wondered what might be hiding in the margins. Mystwood Alchemy began with a fascination for the natural world and the stories humans have attached to it. Plants gathered for purposes both practical and peculiar. Creatures that became omens. Stars used to find the way home. Objects kept for luck, protection, remembrance, or reasons long forgotten. Here, natural history meets folklore, folk magic, and the unexplained. Mystwood is organized into six worlds: the Apothecary, Herbarium, Bestiary, Cabinet of Curiosities, Observatory, and Celestial Atlas. Each explores a different corner of the larger collection, from botanical knowledge and old remedies to unusual creatures, curious objects, and the night sky. The shop grew from that same world. Its journals, apparel, and other objects are designed as things you might plausibly discover somewhere within Mystwood: pieces inspired by old field guides, forgotten archives, botanical studies, celestial charts, folklore, and the enduring human habit of finding meaning in the world around us. The Journal goes deeper, following individual plants, creatures, traditions, symbols, places, and peculiar histories wherever the trail leads. Mystwood Alchemy is created and curated by Isobel Rose, a lifelong collector of strange stories, beautiful old things, and questions without tidy answers. You don't have to believe every story told here. You only have to be curious enough to follow it into the woods. |
